I will do the drawing next Wednesday.

My goddaughter's Graduation

I wanted to share some pictures of my godaughter's graduation day! She looked so beautiful and happy! She had to endure many things to accomplish this and I couldn't be happier for her!
Here is the happy grad girl with her Hello Kitty Grad Cake! She loved it!!! As you can see she did not cut it, she had a huge party the next day with all her friends and decided she wanted to cut it there!!!

On another note, I was contacted by a former student of mine and was asked if I couldbake a cake for her best friend. Of course I said yes! That will come next week. She will come and choose what cartridges she wants me to the design from!!! It will be a grey and blue cake! Can't wait!!!

A Hello Kitty Graduation Cricut Cake

Hola! I am loving my Cricut Cake!! You have no idea how much! This time around I made a cake for my god-daughter who is graduating from Central Union High School in El Centro CA. At first I had no idea what I was going to create.

I baked the cakes during the day and I almost didn't do anything!!! I happened to buy a cake mix that was on sale at Walmart (Pillsbury Moist Supreme) what I did not notice was that the mix already had a cup of pudding (something I add to my cakes), now, don't get me wrong, the cake was DELICIOUS!!! It melted in your mouth!! but that was exactly the problem!!! You can't have too soft of a cake when you are going to decorate with fondant!!! I actually gave up and had decided not to do anything after all. Well, I found a box of the cake mix that I do like ( Betty Crocker) and gave it another try! Well, here is my result.

As I was going thru my carts I remembered a Hello Kitty with cap and gown! Love how it all came out!!!!!

These are the carts I used and other things:
Hello Kitty Cap/Gown and sun from Hello Kitty Greetings
Lettering from Learning Curve
Purple Flower from Elegant Cakes (I used the Hide contour for the petals)
Scalloped Circle from Mini Monograms
Grass from Plantin Schoolbook
Wilton's Nonpareils Sprinkles
Wilton Fondant
Vodka to clean up and give it that shine

God Bless This Nest from Jeannie

Hello to all!!! I have to share this website with you! It's "A Place for My Cards", Jeannie does the most beautiful cards! Gaby, my best friend, introduced me to this site and the card that I am about to share with you. I wish I had Jeannie's talent to come up with something like this all on my own!!!

If you are religious, and even if you are not, Jeannie has another blog where she gives a bible verse everyday. What I like about it is that she puts her thoughts into each of these and they are beautiful!!! Check it out here!!!
If you really want to scraplift this card, don't forget to visit Jennie's website. If you email her she will send you the Gypsy file!!! On her site (follow the link on the top) you will find ALL the measurements and carts used.

For my card I used all Basic Grey from the Bittersweet Collection and Recollection cardstock for the black and brown!Hope you like what you see!
I got to liking this card I made one more!!! This time I used the Romani collection from Basic Grey.

GabyAbby Cake Creation!!

A GabyAbby creation!!! My BFF Gaby and I decorated our second cake using the Cricut Cake. We created this cake for Yessie's Bridal Shower (Gaby's niece) We used her wedding colors for the decoration.

We cut the letters using Base Camp using Duff's black fondant. We also used Elegant Cakes for the swirls and the flower on top of each cake and Basic Cake for the scalloped edges. It says "it all started with a kiss".

We had some tears on the teal color fondant. I have found that Wilton's fondant is the one to blame for this. Last week's cake was covered with Duff's fondant and it did not tear at all.
Gaby and I did not bake the cake this time! The bride to be did it and it was delicious!

Once again no claim on giveaway!!!! :(

I guess this happens when you have just a few followers and many of those who did sign up do not come back often and check my blog. I will wait a week to see if I get a few more followers after my 1st card for Joy and give this another shot!!!

Joy's Life project!

Please don't forget to view my post from Thursay, DIGITAL ME!! There is a great giveaway!!!
My god-daughter graduated from high school a few weeks back! Marlene is very special to me, not only am I her baptism godmother, but I am also her first communion godmother and her Quinceañera godmother too. If you don't know what a Quinceañera is, its sort of like a sweet 16.
I made the card for her using Joy's Pun Stamps "Hot Dog" and the heart with hearts around.

Here is the recipe for this adorable card:
Cricut Expression
Cricut Gypsy
Card and envelope cut using Just Because Cards
Card measures 4.5 x 6.75
Doggy cut using Create a Critter
Doggy measures 3.85
Martha Stewart punch
DCWV Blossoms and Butterflies Stack
Recollections Cardstock
Celebrate it ribbon
Color Box Chalk Ink (chestnut and hot pink)
Zig 2 way glue
Zots 3D dots
Stotch Double sided tape
Flowers and brads ?
A la Mode Black Glitter Glue
Basic Grey chipboard letter
Uniball white pen

I did not own the cartridges that had a graduating hat, so I did my own! Super easy!!

I inked the doggy and the pink DCWV paper. I used 3D dots for the doggy, rolled diploma and the flowers. For the inside of the card I used the Martha Stewart punch and more 3D flowers.

The envelope has the dotted lines all around it and another flower with a button this time.

Hope you like what you see!!!!
