Gaby Abby Challenges with SEI Week 5 ~~~ Picture Inspiration

Hello my friends and followers!!! We are starting our Gaby Abby challenges with SEI this week showcasing a beautiful line from SEI. Now, when I mean beautiful....well, that's exactly what I mean... this collection is very elegant. I just love the huge flowers and the embellishments the collection has are just exquisite.... that is the perfect word!!! EXQUISITE!
I really think this line is so elegant that I could only think of my grandparents when looking at this collection.
So, here is my project for this week.

If you have been taking at look at my projects over the weeks, you have seen my grandpa in a few of my projects. All the pictures you see were taken by him! He was an AMAZING photographer.

Ok... you might be thinking why the color on this picture... Well, let me tell you that back in the day when we had no color film my grandmother (in pictures) would hand paint the pictures when people wanted color in them. Yep, she did a beautiful work. Many of the pictures that were hand painted are still hanging on my grandma's living room. That is why I decided to leave it like that......

Aren't they just so elegant and beautiful!

For this layout I got inspired by a sketch from Page Maps

and the following, all SEI products!
Moonrise Assortment Pack
**enchantment
**stillness
**luminou
**ember
**serenity
Moonrise Die-Cut accents
Moonrise Metal Filigree
SEI chalk ink

I hope you have enjoyed what I created and I hope you get inspired!!!

Cooking With Cricut Challenge #5 Baking

Are you in love yet?!?!?!!? With Cooking With Cricut cutting files??? Really? you haven't tried them?!!? Well, you have to!!!!! I mean it!! Don't want to spend too much money?? Well, they are very inexpensive!!! Really! and if you sign up for her newsletter.... you get freebies!!! SO, what are you waiting for?!

Plus... usually the prices for the challenges are cutting files!!!

This week's theme is BAKING!! I love baking!! I have another blog that is only for my Cricut cakes! I will have the link at the end of this post! Onto  my project... This October 31st was my boy's bday. I asked him what he wanted for his b-day and he said all he wanted was a big cupcake just for him... and that is exactly what he got!

I did the writing in Spanish... that is my first language and I love using it on my projects. The translation for cupcake is panquesito, which is little cupcake. ****Spanish Lesson ALERT!! When you have the ending -ito(male) or -ita (female) it is usually something small. For example: apple=manzana, little apple=manzanita.

Here you can see on page 1 "¿Panquesito?=Little Cupcake?

Page 2 ¡Panquesote! Now, when you want to say something and give it the connotation that it is very big you will see the endings -ote(male) or -ota(female)

**** Another Spanish Alert!! In Spanish you will always have things be either female or male.... ALWAYS!

I used the following for this project:
Cooking With Cricut cutting file
DCWV Sweet stack
Martha Stewart border punch
Basic Grey Letters
Make the Cut
Cricut Expression

Now, make sure you go visit the other Chefs over at Cooking with Cricut!!

ScrapTiffany Holiday Blog Hop

Don't you just love blog hopping??? I do!!! Well, today we have for you a fun Holiday one!!! If you are coming from Sheri, than you are on the right track... but if not... make sure you start with Tiffany!!!

Onto my project!!! I learned this project from Emma over at My Creative Time

I used my Gypsy to create these. From the George Cart size a square to 5 inches long and from the My Kitchen cart I welded the gingerbread man one on each end. Make sure that you flip on of the images to match your shape when folded. The gingerbread man from My Kitchen has another shape next to it, you have to use the Hide Contour feature on your Gypsy to hide all the things you don't want cut. Also, it comes with a cute face... but how can I NOT use my Peachy Keen faces?!!

Wanted to show you the cut before decorating. I did not give you score measurement because you will use different size lollipops and you can size that on your own.

Here you can see all the things that I needed to use the Hide Contour feature on my Gypsy.

and here is a view of the files ready to cut with everything hiding.

A good money saving tip.... if you are mass producing these you can just have the cut and use a pen for the doodling, a sentiment, a little ribbon and glitter glue.

But if you want to get a little fancy and cutesy..... you can try this...

I hope you have liked what I created. A big shout out to the person I learned this from... Emma!!

I used the following for my lollipop holders:

Pink By Design Stamps
Peachy Keen Stamps
Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Joanns Christmas Stack 09
Recollections Cardstock
Ribbon from Joanns
Bling from hmmmmm ??
George Cart
My Kitchen Cart
Gypsy

Now would you like some candy?!?!?!?!?!

How about 10 cuts from any cart you wish!!! I will announce the winner on Thursday morning... if you are the lucky winner you will have to go on top to my MY CARTS page and look at the list of carts I have. The cuts will be no bigger than 4 inches and I will cut all the layers too, but they will be sent just like that, just in case you want to add pop-ups and other things. They will be cut with cardstock paper only! One little note...... if you choose cuts that have very intricate cuts and my cricut is not behaving I will just choose other cuts for you that are similar.

Your next stop is Becca
