Beautiful Monster Gal!

Hello all!! Guess what day of the week it is? You got it! it's Thursday and that means....... My Creative Time with Miss Emma!!! I just love Thursdays, but by now you probably already know that... right??

Well, today Emma has challenged us to NOT USE OUR CRICUT!!! Loved the idea!!!

I got to use the AWESOME new collection from SEI called Monsterville! If you haven't heard, my BFF and I are being sponsored by SEI and we have something great cooking for YOU!!!

So for my card I did another trifold card! I love the way this card looks. I got to use my PKS for the monster gal. I will enter this card for the new PKS challenges.

Here are the items I used to create this card:

SEI assortment paper pack Monsterville
SEI Monster Stickers
Uniball white pen
Michaels ribbon
Tim Holtz Distress Ink
PKS face stamp

Thrifty Thursday at ScrapTiffany

Today I get to share with you some money saving tips. In these times of hardships we are always on the look-out for things around the house that we can use in our scrapbooking needs. I found that pop-ups can get really expensive, even with our coupons! So, I found on the internet something we can use to replace those expensive pop-outs!
Mounting tape is one way to go.
It runs about 3.99-4.99 and we can use coupons at Michaels and Joanns. What I really love about using this is that it is HEAVY DUTY! The only negative about this is that it's not thick enough. I usually double it up, it's still a good deal because you can cut it any length you wish.

If you really love the pop-out to come out then I have another money saving tip for you. Styrofoam! It is at least three times thicker than the mounting tape!!!

Another great thing about using styrofoam is that you can cut it ANY size you want!!!

I found candy on styrofoam by the pound and decided to use the styrofoam for popping-out. I use the Quick Adhesive from Scotch to glue the styrofoam.

I LOVE the super popped-out look! Since I found the styrofoam with candy I was not that concerned about contamination issues; I still cleaned it really good. If you do decide to use the styrofoam that comes with other food products please make sure you clean it good. Use some bleach to really get it clean. Here is a really simple card I made.... I wish you could see how the super pop-out looks. If you look close at the shadows you can tell it works awesome!!!

And, as promised on ScrapTiffany, leave a comment on this post for a chance to win this cute card!!

Don't forget to come back and check to see if you won it tomorrow!!

Week 2 of Playing with Serenade by Flowerdisco and Friends

I hope you guys enjoyed last week's creations by all the gals that are participating in this series.

This is week 2 of the series and it was my turn to do image #8. It is the cloud with heavy rain. I have always loved clouds but would have never thought of using it by itself in a card.

Here is my take on it! I hope you like it!! I found the beautiful quote on the internet.

I tried the easel card for the first time.

I heat embossed the cloud. I used a flourish stamp that I purchased at Michaels.

The patterned paper is from Tim Holtz idea-ology Paper stash Lost and Found and ribbon from Michaels.
