Gaby Abby Challenges with SEI Week 8~~~ Anything Christmas!

Hello my dear followers and viewers! It's time for another Gaby Abby Challenge!! and this time it's ANYTHING CHRISTMAS!! I can't believe that it's this time of the year again!!

Today, it's time for another fabulous SEI collection and "Kris Kringle" is the name! and it's a very sophisticated Christmas themed collection. Yes, I used the correct term... this collection (like Moonrise) is very elegant and beautiful!! You can check out each single design HERE.

I decided to create some hot cocoa holders. I have seen this idea out there and decided to give it a try!

Once again, I wanted to cater to those gals with no cutting machines.
For these three holders only one sheet of cardstock and one sheet of the Kris Kringle collection were used.
I added some ribbon and used my white pen for some fun doodling!
To make the holder close, I used some velcro.

Material used:
Bazzil Cardstock
Kris Kringle Collection (boxing day sheet)
Kris Kringle Gleaming Snow die-cut accents
Uniball white pen
Velcro
Twine and ribbon from Michaels

Measurements:

Cardstock 4x12
Pattern paper 3.75x 11.75

Use your cocoa packet to measure your scoring lines.

Now, onto the fun part!! The CANDY!!
Kris Kringle collection gallore!!

Isn't just soo yummy!!!!!

Gaby Abby Challenges with SEI Week 7~~~~~Anything Thanksgiving!

Hello my dear bloggers!!! Are you ready for another Gaby Abby Challenge?!!?!!! This week we celebrate Thanksgiving and I want to take just a couple of lines from my post today to say something to you:

THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART FOR TAKING TIME FROM YOUR PRECIOUS DAY TO TAKE A PEEK HERE. Your comments are what inspire me to keep creating more and more!!!

¡GRACIAS!

I have for you today another 2-page layout created using ONLY the beautiful collection Moonrise from SEI.

I created this layout using ONLY SEI Moonrise collection 12 x 12 paper and the sticker letters that come inside the collection!!!

NO CRICUT!!!!

Not that I don't use it because i don't love her anymore!!! But, because I want to make sure that scrappers that do not have a Cricut machine can still make beautiful projects!!!

My original layout had the 09 instead of the 10. I COULD NOT find Thanksgiving dinner pictures from last year anywhere!!! I have some on facebook but could not print them!

Anyways, my sister bought my old Expression and she made her first two Cricut cards!!! I think her cards came out sooo cute!!! As soon as she has them posted on her blog please go visit her and leave a comment telling her how she did!!! It will be ready after 7pm today!!! If you leave a comment on her blog, I will choose a winner and send that person a lot of stickers!! 10+!!! So, I am making my lil sister my Guest Designer!!!

Here are her cards!

Gaby Abby Challenges with SEI Week 5 ~~~ Picture Inspiration

Hello my friends and followers!!! We are starting our Gaby Abby challenges with SEI this week showcasing a beautiful line from SEI. Now, when I mean beautiful....well, that's exactly what I mean... this collection is very elegant. I just love the huge flowers and the embellishments the collection has are just exquisite.... that is the perfect word!!! EXQUISITE!
I really think this line is so elegant that I could only think of my grandparents when looking at this collection.
So, here is my project for this week.

If you have been taking at look at my projects over the weeks, you have seen my grandpa in a few of my projects. All the pictures you see were taken by him! He was an AMAZING photographer.

Ok... you might be thinking why the color on this picture... Well, let me tell you that back in the day when we had no color film my grandmother (in pictures) would hand paint the pictures when people wanted color in them. Yep, she did a beautiful work. Many of the pictures that were hand painted are still hanging on my grandma's living room. That is why I decided to leave it like that......

Aren't they just so elegant and beautiful!

For this layout I got inspired by a sketch from Page Maps

and the following, all SEI products!
Moonrise Assortment Pack
**enchantment
**stillness
**luminou
**ember
**serenity
Moonrise Die-Cut accents
Moonrise Metal Filigree
SEI chalk ink

I hope you have enjoyed what I created and I hope you get inspired!!!

Now it's your turn!!!

You have a photograph to get inspired by:

You can create ANYTHING you want!! just make sure you have some element from picture, be it the colors, a napkin holder, a home decor anything that inspires you from this picture!!!

Don't forget about the rules!

** Your project has to be made for this challenge!
**Make sure you link back to this post and mention it's for the
Gaby Abby Challenges with SEI
** You must use the photograph as an inspiration in anyway you like!
** Only one entry per person

Dia de los Muertos/A Celebration of life Blog Hop

Welcome to El DĆa de los Muertos/
A Celebration of Life Blog Hop!!!

Please read all the post! I know it's long but I promise you will not regret it!!! :) and if the music bothers you.... hmmm just click mute! hehe

I am very excited to be hosting this hop with my BFF, Gaby! I was thinking a few months back how we don't see a lot of Latino theme scrapping things and well.... here it is!!!
El Dia de los Muertos is not in any way a celebration of death itself. El Dia de los Muertos is a time to honor those people in our lives that have passed away. It is a time to celebrate the life they had and to remember them by bringing out their favorite things. One thing that is very customary to do, are altars.
I created one for my grandpa.

This is a place where you decorate and put pictures and all the favorite things your loved ones loved. For example my grandpa's altar has LOTS of pictures because he was a professional photographer, there is a Tecate beer, tequila shot glasses, and did you notice the jar of mayo? Well, he put that thing on EVERYTHING he ate!

It is a VERY colorful celebration! Another staple of el Dia de los Muertos are decorated sugar skulls.

I have seen the kits to make this at teacher stores... wouldn't that be a fun class project?! Well, I found this free image for those teachers that might want to have a quick Dia de los Muertos art project.

Onto my projects, I created a few things. I got inspired!! My first project is a layout of my grandpa.

and a few cards!
Using free image from google

Don't you just love Minnie dressed for Dia de los Muertos?!!

Used Rock Princess and DCWV Mi Casa stack

and one more project! I did this drawing inspired by Frida Kahlo! All by hand!!!

What do you think? I still have a few more things!!

I have one more card featuring Market Street Stamps... why????
GIVEAWAY #1
Angelica donated the BFFs collection!!! Yes, my favorite!! If you are thinking of buying some stamps... I highly recommend these!!! Really!! They are a good size and come with super cute sentiments!!

GIVEAWAY #2
I found Flor Larios through Angelica and I fell in love with her art! She has donated this beautiful print.
and the GRAND GIVEAWAY!!
