Meet the Scrapbookaholic By Abby's Design Team

Hello my dear followers and friends!! I am sooooo happy to announce to you my NEW DESIGN TEAM!!! This choosing a DT is the hardest thing ever!!! I will have some guest designers that I will announce later on (still waiting on some emails). In the meantime... meet the team!! In alpha order!!!!

Alina
I am a mother of 4 wonderful kids, Angelina (11), Angel (10), Ahnais (4) and Ava (7 months). I live just outside of Chicago in The Town of Cicero and I found scrapbooking in March of 2008. I learned all that I could quickly and never looked back. I love to learn new tricks and to try them out. Distressing happens to be one of my favorites right now. I am also a paper lover and I can't live without my Cricut. I am a proud member of the Cricut Circle since Feb. 2011 and I hope to be able to continue being a member. I currently have a seasonal job so I normally have winters off but summers are super busy for me especially this year since I will be a full time employee, full time student and still full time mommy.

  • Amber

  •  I have 2 very young kiddos and live in CO.  I'm a housewife and although my kids keep my crazy busy I love finding time for creativity each day.  A few of my favorite things include, penguins, purple, the show the X-files, and playing video games.

  • I have been crafting for a long time but more in the past year and a half. I got my Cricut November 2009 and I have not stopped crafting since. I love to make Cards and Layouts. I do not own a craft room, so my craft area is the dining room. I live at home with my fiance, my puppy Matilda and my sister is currently staying with us. We are getting Married this October in Portland, Oregon. I was born in Austin, Texas but raised in Oregon. My grandma is the culprit for my craftiness, She always bought my stuff to do crafts. Just recently I got her into it and she has been making cards with her Big Shot and Stampin Up Products. I love when I can inspire people to be crafty themselves

Abby and Lil Chris' Birthday

Well, it took a few weeks to post this!! But, I wanted to share with you the treat bags I made for my daughter Abby and my nephew Chris' birthday party.

They are just 4 days apart and we have done their b-days together every year!!

First year was Backyardigans themed. Second year was Micky and Minnie themed and this year we decided to go with Princess and Pirate theme! Half of my momma's home was decorated with pirate things in red, black and blue and the other side was pink, baby blue and baby yellow!

Here are the treat bags I made for the party! I made 15 princess and 15 pirate bags! and because it took me TOO long to make these.... well, I chased the kids making sure I collected the toppers if I saw them on the floor. And, as you are probably thinking, I did collect from the floor 7 pirate toppers and only one princess!!! All the girls were too excited to even open their treat bags!!

Here they are!!!

I used:
SEI paper for Princess dress
Playtime Cart for dolls
Paper Doll Dress Up cart for clothes

and here are the Bday princess and pirate!

She was so happy opening her presents!!!

That expression!!!!!!!!!! LOVE IT!!!!!! PRICELESS!!!!!!

Thanks for taking a peek!! I have 7 pirates and 2 princess so if you are interested in having some of these just leave a comment with your email telling me you want a pirate or a princess!!! Little giveaway!!

My Creative Time's Throwback Thursday- St. Patty's Day Theme!

Hello all!! Hope you are having a good week! This crazy weather is just awful!! One day it's sunny and beautiful...next day windy and rainy!!!

Anyways, this week for Throwback Thursday we got to create anything using ANY cartridge but you have to make sure it is a St. Patty's Day theme!

So, we got to use the awesome "I Believe In Leprechauns" stamp set!

I created a one page-layout about my family and I altered a little one of the stamps in the set. I used the "Lucky to have a friend like you!" sentiment, but.... I covered with Scotch tape the "a friend like you!" part first and stamped and then covered again everything except "you!".

Materials used:

My Creative Time "I Believe In Leprechauns" stamp set
Peachy Keen Face Stamps Happy Lashes
Simple Charmed Cricut Cartidge
SEI Chick-A-Doo Collection
Forever In Time Gem Swirls
Martha Stewart Twine
Buttons from collection

Now, go visit My Creative Time and check out the other design team member's projects! They are phenomenal!!!!!!

Just in case you are wondering.... that picture in green?!!? LOL I used Photoshop and played with Actions (Slightly Lighten, Old West and Burned Edges) and I also went into the blending options and used something there to get that green color to it.
Thanks again!!!
