Just Chilling Card

Good Morning my dear followers,
Today I woke up wanting to play with my new favorite cart Create a Critter. I created this hello card using the penguin. I did find something weird about it. The little penguin picture does not match the cut out on the white part (layer 1) On the picture it has the beak almost in between the eyes. But on the Layer 1 white part of the body it cuts the lines to put the beak really low... It does not look that cutesy. I used my gypsy to cut the igloo into a card. I also used the "just chilling" from the same penguin key (Phrase). I pop-up the penguin and used A la mode glitter around the card so it would look like snow. Inked the igloo also! Hope you like it!

A layout for my childhood friend and a Bday card for my sister in-law

Today I created a Bday card for my sister in-law. I used my newest cart (a gift from my BF). It has become my favorite!! I used Accent Essentials for the scallop and a square for George. I welded them using my Gypsy. Paper is regular cardstock and patterned paper is DCWV. I also used the cuttlebug.
I also created a LO for my childhood friends who I found thru Facebook after almost 20 years. One of the sisters, Dalia, hooked us up with loads of Cricut carts. As a thank you Gaby (my BF) and I are creating a few LO. This is the first of many to come. The title of this LO reads: "Flower Power" the reason for this is that all their names are names of flowers in Spanish: Azucena (not in picture), Margarita, Dalia, Rocio, Flor, Violeta and Azhalia. I love these pictures of them!! I cut flowers from Accent Essentials andone other I can't remember right now. Paper is all Cloud 9. Used bling for flowers and on the edge of pictures and I also used popouts for flowers.

Organizing and Clean Mats!

Today, I had promised myself (actually, last night) that I would scrap. I really love the LO that my best friend is doing for her niece and felt inspired. BUT... there is always a BUT when you have 4 kids!! I got to cleaning my scrap room and organizing many things that still did not have a home. I am so proud that I was able to finish!! YEY... but, in the organizing of it all, I realized that I buy stickers because they are so darn cute and not necessarily because I am going to use them!!! I have over 120 of them, some since 2000!!! I want to say I feel guilty, but not really! They look awesome on my wall. After I was done organizing I needed to clean all my Cricut mats. My best friend (again) told me to wash them with really hot water and a bit of soap. I used the green side of the dish sponge and cleaned them, it was so easy!!! After that I dried them with a towel and let them air dry. To re-glue I used Martha Stewart thick tip glue pen. I am letting them dry overnight. I have done this before and they work just perfect! Here are some pictures of all my doings. Oh! I also organized all my loose ribbons!!

My BF has finished her 2009 album POTM "All about me", me, on the other hand.... well, I use my kids as an excuse to not be done with my 2009 POTM. But this year!! I have all four so far!! YEY!!! If you have not tried BG POTM, you need to!!! All kits come with instructions and you really don't need machines and gadgets to do your pages! Third Challenge for My Pink Stamper NSD!

Here is my LO! The challenge was to think outside the box and do something you wouldn't do normally. I used aluminium foil on my LO!! I also used the Joys Of the Season cart, a la mode gliter glue, glossy glue on the black letters. I used my gypsy to weld the letters.

My Pink Stamper 2nd Challenge!!

Just got the Destination Cartridge and since May 5 is coming up, I thought a Mexico card would be nice! I used my scraps from a LO I had done about my family in Mexico. Paper used was from Mi Casa DCWV. I also used A la mode black glitter and inked with chestnut color box chalk. The ribbon I got at a scrapbook store in San Dimas. The piramid was cut at 1inch and the mexico sign at 1.5.

New Challenge!!!

Hello to all!! I have become a bit of an addict when it comes to... well, to many things! But, one in particular are those Cricut Cartridges! I wish I had all of them, but my wallet can't afford it!

So, I was talking to my best friend, Gaby, about all the carts we own and how out of 60 or more we own, we have really just used a few of them. So, my challenge is to use each cartridge on a project.

It can be anything! A card, a LO, a candy bag, a cupcake holder! Just USE every cart you have!!

What do you get as a price??!!?? Well, your reward is that you will not feel guilty for buying a cart you haven't even opened!! You will be able to say: "I used every cart I own" :)

So, with this I present to you my first project using Alphalicious:
Recipe:
Card is cut 8.5 x 5.5
* "thank you" sign comes from Alphalicious
* cup is from From My Kitchen.
* Paper is black cardstock and the decorative paper is from DCWV.
* Inked the decorative paper and used glossy glue for the thank you sign.
* Put a bit of glitter on the white part of the cup.
* Ribbon is fuzzy/black.

Tell me what you think? Any tips on organizing some things? What do you like the best?
My best part is the fact that I have on display all my I Love Lucy dolls and other Lucy collections!! The big frame of Lucy my mom found at a yard sale!!
