It was a lot easier and faster too!

5 de Mayo Blog Hop

Si necesitan traducir, en la barra verde abajo a la izquierda esta el botoncito! Gracias
Hello everyone and welcome to my blog and to the Cinco de Mayo Blog Hop!!! I am so excited to be hosting this hop!!! I will tell you why... Cinco de Mayo is the celebration  of the Battle of Puebla... I can already see some faces..... "it's not Independence day?!!?" hehe nope!!! It is a date that is very much confused with the biggest celebration in Mexico, Independence Day which is September 16th. The funny thing is, this date (5 de mayo) is not celebrated in Mexico as much!! I have always seen this date  celebrated here in the USA far more than any other place!

Here is an excerpt I got from wikipedia:

Cinco de Mayo (Spanish for "fifth of May") is a holiday held on May 5 that commemorates the Mexican army's unlikely victory over Frenchforces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of General Ignacio Zaragoza SeguĆn. It is celebrated primarily in the state of Puebla and in the United States. While Cinco de Mayo sees limited significance in Mexico itself, the date is observed nationwide mostly in the United States as a celebration of Mexican heritage and pride. "Cinco de Mayo is not a Mexican holiday—it is anAmerican Civil War holiday, created spontaneously by Mexicans and Latinos living in California who supported the fragile cause of defending freedom and democracy during the first years of that bloody war between the states." Cinco de Mayo is not Mexico's Independence Day, the most important national patriotic holiday in Mexico.

If you notice, I highlited something in red on the paragraph which shows you exactly what our purpose on this hop is.

Whether you have some Mexican blood in your veins or not, I believe we are surrounded by many things that represent our beautiful Mexico. So the talented group of ladies that are on this hop are doing just that! We are celebrating Our Mexican Heritage!!

Sorry about shades in pictures! Didn't pay attention until I was doing post!
