Cooking With Cricut Challenge #2~~~Pumpkin Patch-Pumpkin Carving

Good morning!!! So it's week 2 of Cooking With Cricut challenges!!! and this week we had to create something with Pumpkin Patch or Pumpkin Carving... I created this 2 page LO to put pictures of our outing to a pumpkin patch NEXT week!

I was brought up not going to pumpkin festivals, come to think of it, we did not do anything special for Thanksgiving either... it was till I was, maybe 15, that I started to love cooking and I started the Thanksgiving dinners at home... well, I have to confess that I have taken my kids to a Pumpking festival/patch maybe once! I know what you are thinking. LOL

I promised my BFF (my daughter's madrina "godmother") that I would take Abbita this year and take tons of pictures!!! So, with all that!! haha I created this LO... but, my true inspiration for this LO was Melin's adorable Scarecrow girl sitting on the pumpkin!!! If you have never tried one of her cuts... YOU HAVE TO!!! Her files are not expensive at all!! Go visit her shop!!!

Playing with Serenade Week 6

Hello my dear Serenade followers! This is the the 6th round of Playing with Serenade!!! and I have to confess.... not my favorite image!! LOL A don't like these birds, other than their pretty color.... they are stinky, not cute, and well..... when I go to the zoo... they just stand there! LOL Sorry, am I being a bit to honest?

But, I had a really neat idea to do something with the flamingo.... but my Friducha(my Imagine) did not cooperate! I had planned on doing a LO with little Mermaid and the flamingos on the background.... anyways... Here is my card.... i'm not happy with it....

Please go visit the other Serenade Ladies!!!

Here is a little history about what Day of the Dead is:

Day of the Dead (SpanishDía de los Muertos) is a holiday celebrated in Mexico and other countries. The holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died. The celebration occurs on November 2. Traditions connected with the holiday include building private altars honoring the deceased using sugar skulls, marigolds, and the favorite foods and beverages of the departed and visiting graves with these as gifts. The Day of the Dead is a time of celebration. (www.wikipedia.org)

Here is my LO:

Now, once again I did not use my Cricut!!! I think I am doing this on purpose because I have to send my Expression away!! :(

Here is the recipe:
SEI paper pack Monsterville collection
SEI Googly eyes
SEI chalk ink

***Instructions:
The bottom paper is just black carstock 12 x 12
The green dotted (WARTS) is cut by hand, no technique... just play with scissors!
The orange eyed (MONSTER MASH) is 8 x 8
The black eyed (EYEM WATCHING YOU) is cut at 7 x 6
The bottom matt for picture (BOOBY BOULEVARD) is cut at 7.75 x 5.75
The black mat is cut at 7.50 x 5.5
The frame is perfect for a 7 x 5 picture!!!
The monsters were hand cut from a sheet of paper (WELCOME)

You might be asking yourself about the metal I used on this layout.... my hubby is a mechanic and is always buying these cool tools... anyways he was really excited showing me a new tool and I thought to myself, what a cool thing to use in my scrapping!!! So he made me about 6 feet of this twined metal and I just twisted it up!
