Week 3 of Playing with Serenade

Hello my dear followers!! Before I show you my newest creation with the Serenade cartridge I want to remind you of my BFF, Gaby and yours truly Weekly challenges starting this Monday, October 4th. We have an AWESOME sponsor, SEI!!!!! We will have SEI paper and embellishments EVERY week!!! For at least 10 weeks!!! Don't forget to join in the fun!!!!

Today it was my turn to play with image #15/a vase with a swirly thingy in it J

I found another awesome phrase and used it here. But, after printing the phrase I thought it sounded a bit negative… I wouldn’t want to receive a card with this phrase… hehehe

Here is the phrase:
“Trust is like a vase… once it’s broken, though it can be fixed, it will never be the same” Unknown

With that in mind I used Crackle Accents from Inkssentials to make the vase look cracked. I loved the way it came out!

Paper is from K and Company and I used a MS border punch.

SO I thought I could ask you to interpret this phrase for me…… and I will have my BFF help me choose whose interpretation we like the best and I will send you the card! YEP! You get to win the card!!

You have until next Monday night to comment about your interpretation on the phrase!

SO now you get to hop along and see more creations from Serenade from this group of talented ladies!

Have fun!!!!

Im thinking it could go to a friend who is having relationship problems and needs honest support!

Cool Card...love how you used the crackle accent technique.

(Your photo didn't show up this am in my blog . I had to go and re do it...I do not know what happened but I did have problems uploading it the first time too, just as Jessica's).

The crackle accent really gives your vase a 3D look....love the paper you have used on it also. - I feel once trust is broken in a relation ship, even though it can be repaired, there is still the doubt that it could quite easily happen again.....Its very fragile!

I truly love your card...beautiful.
I feel the saying is trying to say that your friend can do something to hurt you and you will forgive them, but the friendship will never be the same again. Once the trust is broken its hard to ever get back the feeling you had before it happened... maybe I'm not saying what you want to hear, but the saying was just beautiful..
hugs,
jen(jennyscards.blogspot.com) I would love for you to check out my blog :)

I love your card! The vase is just awesome!

I think the saying touches on the innocence of things (like a child). Once your eyes have been opened to something (the experience), you can never go back to the "innocence" (unknowing) of the situation. Also can go back to the biblical experience of Adam & Eve. Once they took the bite of the apple....they could never go back. So....when the trust is broken, although you can forgive the person, you can never truly get back to when the relationship was pure or untainted by distrust.

Oh, here is that pretty font again! I love your designs! I get distracted by your pretty fonts. Is that your handwriting?

It's like when you were in high school and told one of your BFF's about a boy you liked that was a senior and they promised not to say anything. Later on everyone was laughing and saying "You like So and So" and you have a bad feeling in your stomach because you thought you knew that person would be your confidant and you could confide in them no matter what. And your heart was crushed because you thought that they felt the same way you did about sonfidential matters. You can still be friends but your feelings just aren't the same ever again......(not that this happened to me)

Very cool tip. More ways to use our crackle accents. My interpetation is "Trust is very important in any relationship but once that trust is broken that relationship will never be the same it will always have that scar their that will never heal. We say I forgive you but will never forget. The Vase is still beautiful but the scar will still remain."....I think I rambled...LOL

Beautiful card! I think it means a falling out between friends, the friendship can be mended but the friendship will never be the same. It will always be scarred.
