Market Street Stamps~~ La Guitarra

Hello everyone! I have been in heaven these days!!! I got my new Gypsy! I just LOVE designing for My Creative Time!! and I am the newbie of an awesome DT over at Treasure Box Designs and I am also part of the DT of Angelica's company, Market Street Stamps!!!
¡Hola a todos! ¡¡¡Qué he tenido buenos días!!! ¡Tengo de nuevo una Gypsy! ¡¡Me encanta diseñar para My Creative Time!! ¡y soy la nueva integrante de un fabuloso equipo de diseño en Treasure Box Designs y también soy parte del equipo de diseño de la compañía de Angélica, Market Street Stamps!!!

Market Street Stamps will be coming out in May with a new line with a lot more Spanish! "La Tiendita" Spanish for the "little Market" is where I will be designing! Can't wait to get started!!!
¡¡Market Street Stamps estará lanzando una linea nueva de sellos con más español! Se llamará "La Tiendita" y es ahi donde estaré diseñando! ¡Ya me muero por comenzar!

In the meantime, Angelica has a new release this month that is just BEAUTIFUL!!! As soon as I saw the Hippie Chic and the background Vintage Music I new I needed them for my brother (who is a musician) and my sister who well..... just plain LOVES music!! But..... as I was looking (smelling) at them last night trying to come up with something, I remembered a poem I studied in college.

Federico Garcia Lorca is the AMAZING writer who wrote this poem called "The Guitar". Now, I don't want to go on about what I think the poem is saying... I am missing teaching my Literature class!!! :) You can find many reviews about the poem online. I will put the poem at the end of the post just in case you do want to venture in reading it and finding out more.

Here is my card:

Material used:
Market Street Stamps~ MSS-19 & MSS-BK-08
Tim Holtz Paper Stash Lost & Found
Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Vintage Photo
Bling from stash
Walmart Ribbon
Spellbinders-Nestabilities

And here is the poem:

The Guitar

The weeping of the guitar
begins.
The goblets of dawn
are smashed.
The weeping of the guitar
begins.
Useless
to silence it.
Impossible
to silence it.
It weeps monotonously
as water weeps
as the wind weeps
over snowfields.
Impossible
to silence it.
It weeps for distant
things.
Hot southern sands
yearning for white camellias.
Weeps arrow without target
evening without morning
and the first dead bird
on the branch.
Oh, guitar!
Heart mortally wounded
by five swords.

Y en español

La Guitarra

Empieza el llanto
de la guitarra.
Se rompen las copas de la madrugada.
Empieza el llanto de la guitarra.
Es inútil callarla.
Es imposible callarla.
Llora monótona
como llora el agua,
como llora el viento
sobre la nevada.
Es imposible callarla.
Llora por cosas
lejanas.
Arena del Sur caliente
que pide camelias blancas.
Llora flecha sin blanco,
la tarde sin mañana,
y el primer pájaro muerto
sobre la rama.
!Oh guitarra!
Corazón malherido
por cinco espadas.

I added this video I found on YouTube.... beautifully recited with images of Garcia Lorca and videos during the times García Lorca lived.
Thanks for taking a peek!
