Well, you know we all LOVE Hello Kitty, but I asked Ann to make a more cultural Hello Kitty and my inspiration came from a great artist, Frida Kahlo. I have always admired her art... it evokes so much of her feelings and its so vivid.... I can stare at what she created for hours and just feel her pain...
Entonces, ya saben que todas amamos a Hello Kitty, entonces le pedi a Ann que me creara una Hello Kitty un poquito mas cultural y mi inspiracion me llega de la super artistaza Frida Kahlo. Siempre he admirado su trabajo.... su arte evoca tanto sentimiento y tan real.... puedo pasar horas viendo su arte y sentir ese dolor que ella nos quiere mostrar....

So, Ann made me a Hello Kitty "A la Kahlo"
Entonces, Ann me hizo una Hello Kitty "A La Kahlo"

and of course I had to use my favorite paper of all time!!! That green on the back, its from Echo Park and I think I love it so much because it reminds me of Frida Kahlo in this picture:

and I also have to tell you guys I have another inspiration... 

Megan K Suarez is an AMAZING artist!

and she also loves Frida and you can see it represented in her art.

Tambien les platico que me llega siempre la inspiracion por lo de Frida Kahlo por la artista Megan K Suarez, a ella tambien le encanta Frida Kahlo y lo puedes ver en sus pinturas, me he comprado algunas y puedes admirar una de ella en el fondo de esta foto.
