Love @ First Sight Blog Hop

Hello everyone! Welcome to the Love At First Sight Blog Hop hosted by Sandra 365 Days Of Cricut . If you are here from Sandra ( the host!) than you are in the right spot. If you just arrived here and would like to start from the beginning please go to Sandra to start the fun!!! For this blog hop Sandra is celebrating her anniversary of when she met her hubby 8 years ago "It was Love At First Sight", she is also celebrating her 7th wedding anniversay, and of course Valentine's Day! She has asked us all to make a Love-Themed Gift for someone that we love. I decided to make a few layouts for my hubby.

Now, I have to be honest and tell you that what my hubby and I have was NOT love at first sight!!! LOL Really!!! He worked for my dad and he hated my guts!!! I used to go clubbing  A LOT and would go to my dad's office on the weekends asking for money to go out. Well, this is what he hated! Daddy's little girl just popping in the office asking for money!!! LOL

Something happened after that! We started dating March 1st and got married that same year December 23rd!!! Yep, I guess when you know, you just know!

This is us! 1995!!!

So my first layout is about my hubby... I went crazy looking for a picture just him alone and could not find one!!! and when I did... well, I was out of ink!! I used a picture of both of us....

Sketch is from Sassy Lil Sketches

I put just a little bit of glue so I can take it off and put a picture just of him!

For my second project I created a 2-page layout ALL about LOVE!!!

It's pictures of my hubby and I through out  the years....

Sketch is from Gotsketch

So, both of these layout are almost ALL Cricut-less!!! Except for this cute bear on top!!
I used the Make-The-Cut program with my Cricut and the bear is from Treasure Box Designs.
And did you notice the stamps??? My Creative Time "You Had Me Chocolate" set!!! They are not ONLY for cards!!! I love them!!!

I hope you have enjoyed my layouts and my little story!

What would be a hop without candy?!?! Beside the candy you can win with Sandra... I have for you a sweet, sweet giveaway!!

The Valentine Collection from Treasure Box Designs!!!

All these images can be cut with your Cricut and other machines using Make the Cut and Sure Cuts A Lot

All you have to do is leave a comment on this post and tell me a little something about the love of your life!
Make sure you come back on Monday to see if you are the lucky winner!!!
I don't ask you to become a follower, only do it if you like :) what you see!!!..
Don't forget to please leave comments on all of the blogs for a chance to win several different Grand Prizes on Sandra's blog!
Next stop on the hop is the talented

Here is the complete line-up, just in case you need it!!

Abby,

What beautiful layouts!!! :) You've inspired me!

I met my husband when I was a project manager at UCLA's Medical School! I had a rule: I wouldn't date doctors (& I wasn't looking for anything serious). I always said, "I'd rather be a doctor than marry one!" Well, I joked with him that he was safe. He was just a lowly medical student and surely we'd be broken up by the time he became a doctor. Little did I know...

The other funny part about it is that two days after I met him, my now husband went home for his sister's wedding. He told his whole family that he had met his wife! When they heard the story, his four sisters said, "Well, you might want to ask her out first!"

We'll be celebrating our 11th year of marriage this year (& dated for 3 years before we married)!

Thanks so much for getting me to reminisce! Happy Valentine's Day!!! :)

Crafty hugs,

Jennifer

Our story was actually published on match.com. Anyway, sorry for the long post, I could relate to what you were saying. LOVE both your LO....they are beautiful. What a wonderful story. I am in awe of all the pictures you have with your DH. You can't find one of him alone and I have the opposite problem, all my pictures are of him alone as I am the one taking the picture! I think we have 2 of us together and one of those I took myself by holding my arm out and pointing the camera backwards so it sure isn't a great picture but...better than none.
I think my DH had love at first sight as on our first date he dropped me home and told me then that he is going to marry me. I thought he was nuts and so way over confident but he was right...married 3 years and loving every minute of it.

Hi, Abby! Both of your layouts are awesome. The second one is my favorite but I'm so happy to see more manufacturers offering masculine themed products lately. All of your pictures are lovely. I don't have a "significant other" so the loves of my life are my son and grandkids. Thanks for sharing a little bit of yourself with us.

Abby, thanks for sharing your story and projects! I love both of them. The color story on the second is awesome!

My hubby and I met at work. I used to deliver his mail to him! LOL! I thought he had a cute bottom so I was kind of the aggressor. He says he thought I was cute and loved my blonde hair. We've been married for 20 years this October! Wow, how time flies!

My Hubby and I met because my roomie used to drag me along with her to see his roomie whom she had a crush on- We hooked up and he used to infuriate me, really just drive me NUTS. Apparently he came to this roomie for advice because I was hard to figure out- still am! LOL We have a great relationship and have been married for almost 11 years and are expecting our fifth baby. :)

Love your layouts. My husband and I met on a golf course and we also got married on a golf course. While I don't play it is a passion of his! Plus it gives me a few hours on nice days to make fun projects!

Thanks for Sharing

He looks scared in the wedding pic.lolol then after he looks so happy, and you do too!!! Congratulations to you both!!
The love of my life is Gary, he is an older gentleman but I love it!!!
I am 45 and have been a widow since 1989, due to suicide. I have not remarried yet!!!!!! I met Gary and my world changed...we have been together now for 10 yrs. the only reason we dont' marry is because he has cancer and he doesn't want me to be his widow..
We cherish everyday we have together and we don't even think about having it any other way.
I have never been loved until I met him. He cooks supper for me every night. He does my laundry if I need him to. He is just perfect in every way. I am blessed and thankful. I wish you the best Valentines Day ever....
